eNews Format Change
In an effort to reduce the amount of time required to prepare eNews from Hibben each week and to reduce its size, most of the upcoming event information will no longer be included. Although this info is very important, it is already included in Sunday's bulletin which is available on our Web site's Publication and Forms page. A direct link to a PDF version of the upcoming bulletin will be provided in each eNews issue. You can use this link to read about 'This Week's News', the 'Weekly Calendar', the upcoming 'Sunday Volunteers' and the 'Order of Worship'. As you know, most of the information contained in the eNews comes directly from the weekly bulletin, which has been available on our Web site for some time now. The eNews will continue to include the Sunday Worship Info, the Gathering Menu, Pictures of the Week (when available), and any articles and announcements not included in the upcoming bulletin.

For those of you not familiar with the Portable Document Format (pdf) which was developed by Adobe, the following explanation is provided:

In plain language, it is a file that will look the same on the screen and in print, regardless of what kind of computer or printer someone is using and regardless of what software package was originally used to create it. You will need to install the free Adobe Reader on your PC. Most computers already have the reader installed.

Although they contain the complete formatting of the original document, including fonts and images, PDF files are highly compressed, allowing complex information to be downloaded efficiently. Click here for a more detailed explanation and a link for downloading Adobe's free PDF reader.

If you would like to voice your opinion about this change, please use the Hibben contact form. Your comments are welcomed and will certainly be given serious consideration in deciding the content and format of eNews from Hibben.
