The first thing that you notice about our courtyard is the cross-shaped path that forms the central design of the garden. The main arm of the cross leads you through the garden and the smaller arm leads you to either a small children’s experimental garden or a bench for repose and reflection. Each of the four quadrants of the cross mimic one another.
A walk along the path can lead you away from the stresses of the day into a secluded and quiet place of reflection and meditation. As Christians, we lift high the cross as the symbol of our faith, a symbol that gives us life, hope, and peace. To follow the cross of Christ can lead us down a path of tranquility and peace that can take us from this crazy world we call home. The cross becomes our life-blood.
Come experience our “new” sanctuary in the courtyard. Take the path of the cross. Leave your cares at the doors and let God transport you through the garden. Come experience the God who gives you life, sustains and nourishes you, and calls you his own.
Thank you, Hibben Preschool Board, for this beautiful sanctuary garden.
